Last updated: May 05th, 2006

This page will be used to announce updates related to the mini-enrichment course entitled "Robotics: Intelligent Connection of the Perception to Action". This course is being offered at the University of Ottawa, in the spring term of 2006. The course is taught by Rami Abielmona. The following is the official course description:

That given, the course is meant to be both a mixture of fun and learning involving robotic topics.
Updates
  • May 05, 2006: Robot Arena 2 download sites!
    • If you would like to download and try out Robot Arena 2, you can try one of these two sites: download-free-games.com or download.com.
    • Remember that either way it is a 60-minute trial version and a 45 MB download. More details can be found on the official web site.
  • May 04, 2006: Posted winner of the dream-up-a-robot competition + all pics/robots!
    • Check out the "Pictures" page to see your team entry and picture in the dream-up-a-robot competition!
    • This year's winners are Robert, Milan and Tony with their Recon relief worker robot!
  • May 01, 2006: Added the IEEE Ottawa Robotics Competition Worskshop tutorial!
    • Check out the "Important Documents" section below and click on the IEEE Robotics Tutorial to get an idea of how to program using the ROBOLAB software that we'll be using to build our Lego Mindstorms robots!
    • Make sure to go through most of the programs so that you get an idea of how the software works before you can program your own behavior into your hockey robot!
  • April 30, 2006: Added the schedule and usernames pages!
    • Check out the "Schedule Page" at the top to find out what we have planned as activities and competitions for the week!
    • Check out the "Usernames Page" at the top to find out your username to log into the network, your fellow group members, as well as your mobile robot name. Passwords will be given out to each student during the first day of the course (remember to change it to something that you can remember easier).
  • April 24, 2006: Added the three Robix experiments + "Dream-Up-A-Robot" competition!
    • Check out the "Important documents" section below for the description of the three Robix experiments that we'll be doing this week.
    • Also check out the "Important documents" section below for the description of the "Dream-Up-A-Robot" competition details.
  • April 22, 2006: Creation of Mini-Enrichment Course web site!
    • Welcome to the course!
    • Check this web site for future updates on schedules, announcements, username information and pictures.
