Introduction

In conventional file systems,the main goal fo the file organization is to make efficient use of the storage capacity and to allow  arbitrary deletion and extension of  files.

In Multimadia systems, the main goal is to provide a constant and timely retrieval fo data.

Because off upper problems there are two types  of disk scheduling


1. Traditional disk scheduling
(FCFS, SCAN und C-SCAN)

2. Multimedia disk scheduling
(EDF und SCAN-EDF)
