MATLAB utility functions
This page lists utility functions used in the MATLAB code for figures and examples provided in the web pages for each chapter. These utilities are assumed to be in a directory included on the MATLAB search path.
- convert_color_basis.m : Converts a color image from one basis to another.

- f_lab2xyz.m : Nonlinear function used in LAB2XYZ.
- f_xyz2lab.m : Nonlinear function used in XYZ2LAB.
- filter_design_qs_unc.m : Design a 2-D filter with quadrantal symmetry using the least pth criterion. No equality constraints on the frequency response.
- filter_design_zp_con.m : Design a 2D filter with zero-phase symmetry using the least pth criterion with equality constraints on the frequency response.
- filter_design_zp_unc.m : Design a 2D filter with zero-phase symmetry using the least pth criterion. No equality constraints on the frequency response.
- ideal_response_qs.m : Generate an ideal response with quadrantal symmetry
- ideal_response_zp.m : Generate an ideal response with zero-phase symmetry
- LAB2XYZ.m : Convert LAB coordinates to XYZ tristimulus values.
- Lattice_Points_2d.m : Determine the x and y coordinates of all the points of the lattice with sampling matrix V within the rectangular region with upper left coordinates UL and lower right coordinates LR.
- mdsp_scielab_error.m : Compute the sCIELAB error using the specific parameters of the example 8.1. Loads mdsp_ZWfilters.mat
- sRGB_gamma.m : sRGB gamma law.
- sRGB_gamma_correction.m : sRGB gamma correction law.
- WelchPDS_est.m : Compute a power density spectrum estimate of a single grayscale image using the Welch method of averaging modified periodograms.
- WelchSDM_est.m : compute a spectral density matrix estimate of a three-component color image using the Welch method of averaging modified periodograms
- XYZ2LAB.m : Convert XYZ tristimulus values to LAB coordinates.
