Some limited funds are available for travel support to help partially offset the costs of attending the 2007 SAC workshop.  These stipends are intended primarily for full-time students (doing research work in the area of cryptography) who would not otherwise be able to attend.  Please note that there is no guarantee that we will have enough money to fund all applicants.

To apply for a stipend, send email to sac2007@site.uottawa.ca with a subject line of "SAC2007 stipend application" and the following information:

- Name, affiliation, and contact info;

- Whether you are a full-time student;

- How much of a stipend it would take for you to attend SAC
  (please don't simply add up all your costs and tell us that number --- rather, think about how much you need to make this comparable to a reasonable nearby conference that you would have been able to attend);

- A brief (10 lines or fewer) summary of your background and interests in this field
  (this could be papers you have written in cryptography (published previously at SAC or elsewhere); other work you have done that would add value to the workshop or the field; a statement from your advisor about why other attendees would benefit from having you here, or why you would benefit from being here; a discussion of why you are excited about cryptography; etc.).

Note that stipends are not meant to replace funding from your company, university, etc.; they are meant for people who have no other funding source but who would still benefit from, and contribute to, the SAC workshop.
