Title: Umple – Text-based Modeling Approach

Abstract:

Each year, billions of dollars are wasted on poor, cancelled or failed software projects. Many of these failures can be omitted through better management, better documentation or the use of simpler tools. Umple combines implementation of a system, the documentation of that system in the form of UML and round trip engineering to simplify software engineering and development process. This presentation will outline the ideas being Umple, the advantages introduced by it, and the directions Umple will explore in the future.
