Location Aware Business Process Management(BPM) Solution is a practical and concrete approach that provides real-time accurate process data to process owners. The data collected allow for real-time visibility and tracking of the concerned processes. Active process monitoring along with process data analysis can later be used to identify bottlenecks; a major activity in bringing up process efficiency. Business process data can be stored and used for reporting, decision-aided support and process simulation. All those capabilities enable the ability to better optimize process outcome.
This presentation will focus on the application of location aware BPM in the healthcare industry. Numerous healthcare businesses today (especially emergency hospitals) suffer from poor visibility of their operations and resource management difficulties. As a result, emergency patients have to endure long hours in waiting rooms while doctors and nurses are overloaded. It is a context where control and visibility over business and clinical processes are critical.
