You should have been assigned a lab section during registration. Use the “registration navigator” to find out which lab section you are in. (If you get the “personal course schedule” from InfoWeb, it will print all of the lab sections.)
You should always attend your assigned lab session each week.
The first lab (starting in the week of Sept 10-14) will be an introduction to basic concepts for the usage of PCs, Windows, the SITE lab environment, e-mail, internet browsers, virus detection, on-line course materials – including on-line assignment submission – and the “Dr. Java” environment. The programing language Java will not be discussed at this lab. You will be able to get assistance if you have not already set up your computer account, but it is prefered that you set up your account before coming to the session. Do bring a USB memory stick with you (do buy one if you do not have one yet. The size is not really important). There will be no quiz at this session.
Determine your lab section via Rabaska available on uZone.
This EECS computer account is different from your university acount. You can setup your account for the labs, after you have registered for the course, by visiting the lab 0-110 at the SITE building. Bring your student card and univeristy NIP. More detailed information is available here (consult this inormation before comming to the lab). Try to setup your account in the lab when a consultant is avilable (see the EECS Lab Schedule).
