Hello all, Here is the schedule for the project demos: Date Rooms Times TA _ 2005-12-09 STE 2060_ 13:00 15:00 Latifa for csi3717 Zhiyong for csi3317A _ 2005-12-12 STE 2060_ 13:00 15:00 Latifa for csi3717 Zhiyong for csi3317A Taeho for csi3317B _ 2005-12-13 STE 2060_ 13:00 15:00 Latifa for csi3717 Zhiyong for csi3317A Taeho for csi3317B Please plan to be in these lab on those days to show your demos in a first come first served way. Each demo should not last more than 20 minutes. Basically, Latifa may finish on her first day, and Taeho and Ziyhong may need 2 days. Taeho is not available on Friday Dec 9; he will start on Monday DEc 12. Let me know if there is a conflict. Be ready to accomodate changes depending on unforseen factors. If you can't attend on the schedules times, make special arrangements with the TAs by sending them an email. The marking scheme is the following one : - Marks are out of 80 - Scheme: * 60 for Part 3: + User log in interface: 5 points + Menu with 4 items: Accounts, Payments, Tranfers, and Profile: 5 points + Accounts menu offers 2 functionalities: Account Summary and Account Activity: 5 points + Account Summary give a summary of (all) accounts held by a member, i.e. the account type and balance: 5 points + Account Activity gives the account number, a date, a description (e.g. ``payroll'', ``utility payment'', etc.), an amount, and the remaining balance: 5 points + The user should have the choice of showing the activities of either one of the accounts she owns: 5 points + The Payments menu offers an interface for paying bills: 5 points + The user can specify the account to be used, the payee, the amount to pay, and the payment date: 5 points + The Transfers menu offers a simple interface for transfering money from a customer's account to another (possibly someone else's) account: 5 points + The Profile menu offers the possibility of changing a customer's email, telephone, and adress: 5 points + Bank employees have access to employees data using a few appropriate queries for employee data and provide an interface for them. Such an interface comprises meaningful search predicates: 10 points. * 20 for Part 4: + A web-based presentation tier: 10 points + Middle tier using one of the technologies available: 10 points - The TA will progressively rank the demos in their groups and each one of them will pick the 2 best ones. They then will compare these two best ones to choose the best overal. If your demos is picked to be among the 6 chosen, please send ALL your code to LATIFA (lzeka054@uottawa.ca) whom we trust to pick the best project. - WHAT TO SUBMIT on the day of the demo : * (1) a readme file (two pages at most) describing the architecture of your system (EVERY group). * (2) Any further middle tier code written (ONLY for the groups that reached Part 4). * (1) and all the code either by email or on a CD to give to Latifa (Only for the 6 best project -- see above).
