Nortel Networks

Congratulations to our SITE students!

Eleven of our SITE undergraduate students recently got together with students from the Faculty of Administration to take on Carleton University in the Nortel Case Competition. Engineering and Administration students mingled to form five teams to represent the University of Ottawa in this first ever case competition sponsored by Nortel. Each team had to present a detailed, professional business plan for a fictitious company to "wire up" Cleveland. The plan included a market strategy, a telecommunications network design solution and a business case.

And The Winner is...

Team Ultranet, with SITE students Catherine Doyle and Andrew Rawlings. Congratulations to Catherine and Andrew, and to all of the SITE participants, whose hard work and professional presentations did us proud!

Special thanks to SITE professor Dr. Luis Orozco-Barbosa, who, along with Administration professor Peter Koppel put in countless hours helping students prepare for the competition.
