The Meta Object Facility is a large specification. This Clause aims to make the MOF specification easier to read by providing
a conceptual overview of the MOF.
The Clause starts by explaining the MOF’s conceptual architecture for describing and defining metadata. The next sub clause
introduces the metamodeling constructs that are used to describe metadata. This is followed by a sub clause that describes
how metamodels are mapped to implementation technologies, including the IDL mapping and XMI.
