Title: Data Sharing and Exchange: General Data-Mapping
Semantics.
Abstract:
Several settings have been introduced in the literature to solve the
problem of integrating data from different applications that
use different vocabularies. Those include data coordination
settings, and recently, data sharing and exchange settings. Data
coordination allows integrating information from different sources
with different domains at query time. Data sharing and exchange on
the other hand exchanges information between applications that
maintain same objects using different names. We discuss in this
paper a more general data sharing and exchange setting which
exchanges information between applications that store
related information that is not necessarily equivalent.
