    Hammamet

Located 60 Km south east of the northern peninsula of Cap-Bon. Hammamet has among North Africa's finest beach resorts. Once a sleepy fishing village, Hammamet (the name comes from the Arabic al-hammamat, meaning 'the baths') was awakened to its tourist potential back in the 1920s when a flock of wealthy and arty Americans and Europeans decided to make the beautiful bay their destination. Despite its modern architectural and human incursions, Hammamet retains its sense of exotic history, dominated by its 15th-century medina and souk packed with treasures like carpets, brass ornaments, jewellery, pottery, and leather goods. The narrow winding alleys also conceal bright, whitewashed windowless houses behind splendid ornate doors. Hammamet also extends on large fields of orange trees well known by their authentic taste.

    LEAFA 2010
    The First International Conference on

    e-Learning For All

LEAFA 2010 the 1st International Conference on e-Learning For All will be held in Hammamet (Tunisia), on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June, 2010. LEAFA 2010 will be hosted by the Virtual University of Tunis (VUT) and the University of Ottawa as joint organizers.

The main objective of LEAFA 2010 is to highlight, promote and disseminate the new technologies and innovations in the field of e-learning. The wide scope of LEAFA 2010 should provide an excellent opportunity for sharing experiences, knowledge and ideas amongst researchers and scientists from academia, practitioners, vendors and government departments.

This conference will be held at international level, counting with the participation of attendants from all parts and continents of the world.

With the New technologies there is a potential for e-learning to overcome physical barriers and to equalize the experience to all groups in society. It could have a crucial role in preventing exclusion from the knowledge-based society by defining priority actions for certain target groups (minorities, people with disabilities, the under-qualified) and women, and by providing a sound basic education.

New Technologies in e-learning are opening up huge possibilities for disabled people to gain better access to education and training. In this first conference LEAFA 2010, there will be a special focus on the advances in the design of e-learning appropriate for these groups in society.

We would like to invite you to submit your abstracts and to attend in order to share your achievements in the educational experiences and technological methodologies applied to these fields.
