CSI 3130 -- Fall 2019

03/09/19: The tutorials and labs start NEXT week, pending the
availability of TAs.
03/09/19:
- I strongly recommend you to download the course text book.
The textbook is the same that I used for CSI2532. For the next course
cycle, I will move to the Silberschatz's book that your section
used for CSI2132.
Exam questions will assume all the chapters and sections that we will
cover in the textbook. In addition, you will need to buy the C book
by Kernighan and Richie. We will
use the C language for the programming project.
- The course has tutorial and lab hours.
Tutorials will complement my lectures, and labs will help you
get familiar with the programming environment used for the term project.
- Practical assignments and the course project will assume the
knowledge of PostgreSQL, one of the most sophisticated open source
DBMSs available to date.
I urge you to consult the appropriate developer web pages to
get used to the system.
