To have me (for the midterm) or the TA (for A1) recheck your work, please
do the following:
    -  Read the scaned solution i'll send by email on Monday.
    -  Write down a concise request indicating which question you'd like
       us to review and why?
    -  put your request together with your exam (or A1) copy and put them
       in the assignment drop box by next FRIDAY.

For the exam, I used the folowing marking scheme:
   
   Q1 (26%):
      ISA hierarchy :  4%
      8 entity sets and relationship sets: 4%
      Aggregation :  5%
      participation constraints: 6%
      key constraints:   2%
      primary keys:   3%
      All other attributes: 2%

    
      Note: here common marks were:
               26% for a perfect diagram,
               20-24% for one with missing agregations and a few other items
               14-19% for many diagrams with serious flaws
   Q2 (20%):   
     Perfect schemas got full marks
     Any schema based on an ER-diagram that got 20-24% in Q1 got 16%
     Any schema based on an ER-diagram that got 14-19% in Q1 got 13-16%
      
   Q3 (20%):
     Here, I was looking for perfect answers since it was an easy part.
     Virtually everyone did well in this part.
      
   Q4 (20%):
     Here, I was looking for answers that were close to the correct answer
     and I marked this part generously. Of course, serious mistakes were
     not accepted.
   
   Q5 (14%):
     Curiously, this was the most difficult part for nearly ALL of you.
     Please read the 6-8 review questions at the end of each chapter we
     cover. That's where I take those my concept questions.
   
    In this part, I checked definitions closely since, it was not
    acceptable not to know essential things like instance of a relation or
    the like.
     
Pour la section francophone, le schema de correction etait le meme, avec
un poids legerement different dans la question 1 pour les aggregations et
d'autres elements additionnels comme la boucle.
