Student Evaluation

Marking Scheme

The maximum is a 100 marks with the following breakdown:

Midterm exam
Friday, February 10th, 2012 (in class)
20 marks
Final exam 30 marks
4 Project Assignments 10+10+10+20 = 50 marks

*) If the student's grade in the exam component (midterm and final) is less than 50% then the student's marks for the project assignments will be zero.

The final exam will be comprehensive, with the emphasis on the material not covered on the midterm exam.

A student who has an official medical certificate (from the University Health Services) for the absence on the day of the midterm will have the final exam mark scaled up accordingly.

Project Assignments

There will be a project in four programming assignments which must be submitted via Virtual Campus and presented in the laboratory. No other form of submission will be accepted. Note that a presentation of the project is mandatory. (If the presentation is missed for other than medical reasons, assignment 4 will receive 0 marks).
Late hand-ins will NOT be accepted.
All assignments and labs will be posted on Virtual Campus.
