Student Evaluation
Marking Scheme
The maximum is a 100 marks with the following breakdown:
Midterm exam Friday, February 10th, 2012 (in class) |
20 marks |

| 4 Project Assignments |
10+10+10+20 = 50 marks

*) If the student's grade in the exam component (midterm and final) is
less than 50% then the student's marks for the
project assignments will be zero.
The final exam will be comprehensive, with the emphasis on the
material not covered on the midterm exam.
A student who has an official medical certificate (from
the University Health Services) for the absence on the day of the
midterm will have the final exam mark scaled up accordingly.
Project Assignments
There will be a project in four programming
assignments which must be submitted via Virtual Campus and
presented in the laboratory. No other form of submission will be
accepted. Note that a presentation of the
project is mandatory. (If the presentation is missed for other than
medical reasons, assignment 4 will receive 0 marks).
Late hand-ins will NOT be accepted.
All assignments and labs will be posted on Virtual Campus.
Academic Fraud and Plagiarism
Any form of plagiarism or fraud on any
assignment will result in an automatic
zero for
all assignments in the course.
Any form of plagiarism or fraud on the
project
will result in an automatic
zero for the project.
For any plagiarism or fraud possible university
sanctions still apply.
The plagiarism
rules of the University of Ottawa apply. Please familiarize
yourself with them.
