Lab1 The .net C++ compiler
The objective of this lab is to familiarize yourself with the .net C++ compiler:
- Write/Build/Compile a C++ console program in the .net architecture
- Execute the program in the debug environment and in the windows command prompt
- Learn how to use the debugging tools that come with the architecture (step through, step into, step
out, breakpoints, watches)
1. Build the squeleton of the C/C++ program
- Start->Visual Studio.net->Microsoft Visual
Studio.net
- File->new->project (ctrl-shift-n)
- Visual C++ Projects, select Win32
project
- choose and name a directory
- Choose application settings,
"console application", select "empty
project"
- Create a new C++ source file and add it to the project
2. Build a simple program that writes something to the standard output
- Execute the program
- Go through the program in the debug environment
