Function

What is a Function? How are voltage, current, and resistance related?

Type your answer in the box below:

A function is a mathematical relation such that each element of one set is associated with at least one element of another set.

Relationship Between Voltage, Current and Resistance

Laws are formulated by studying the cause and effect relationship between quantities. Ohm’s law was formed by such observation. You may have noticed that the three quantities represented by the variables (i, v, and R) are interrelated with one another. A change in the value of one quantity causes a change in other quantity. For example, let R remain constant, if various values of i are substituted into the formula, a value of v results in each case. Accordingly, v is a function of i.
