Informal Welcome Gathering (June 10)

Registration to the workshop will be possible from 9:00 to 17:30 in front of the A-0150 room in the SITE building. After the tutorials, we will have an informal gathering at the Café Nostalgica, (603 Cumberland, University of Ottawa), from 17:40 to 19:15. This Café offers a wide variety of good beers (including many from local micro-breweries), as well as a good menu for the hungry ones. Part of the terrace has been booked for us, and hopefully the sun will allow us to enjoy it!

Conference Banquet (June 12)

The conference dinner will be held on Thursday, 17:15, on... the Ottawa River! We will have the opportunity to enjoy a dining cruise offered by the Ottawa Riverboat Company. The meal will be provided by the award-winning Café Henry Burger, one of the top restaurants in the Ottawa area.

This cruise offers spectacular views of prominent Ottawa-Gatineau landmarks. Departure will be from the Rideau River Step Locks behind the Château Laurier Hotel. Additional cruise/diner tickets are available. There will be time between the last session and the boat departure for people to go back to their hotels if they need to. Note that the new departure time is earlier than what was previously announced.

Programme Committee Dinner (June 11)

The PC dinner will be held on Wednesday, 19:00, at Le Café of the National Art Center. Le Café offers a very nice view of the Rideau Canal and an exquisite menu. The National Art Center is Canada's premiere centre for the performing arts and is located at 53 Elgin Street, at Confederation Square (less than 20 minutes walk from the SITE building).
