7th IEEE Robotics Competition
The Faculty of Engineering is hosting its 7th IEEE robotics competition. The first of 3 workshops was held on Thursday April 2nd 2009, with the visit of grade 5 - 8 students from 20 schools in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
The students had their first opportunity at designing, assembling and programming their own autonomous robotic platforms, under the supervision of Mr Alan Stewart.
Loud cheers were heard from 80 young visitors as robots battled it out in an autonomous Robot Sumo arena.
