The presentation will discuss rich internet applications (RIA) or rich clients. Firstly, it will review emerge of the web and its technologies starting from traditional web applications to AJAX up to rich internet applications.
I will argue on the need of these types of applications and their usefulness. Finally, I will present a detailed example of a rich internet application technology provided by Microsoft, Windows Presentation Foundation WPF.
