The University of Ottawa's ASERT (Advanced Software Engineering Research and Training) Group has been awarded a grant by Industry Canada. The grant will be administered by Professor Robert L. Probert of the S.I.T.E. Faculty. The title of the project is Models and Methods for Evaluating Internet Vulerabilities and its focus is to locate possible vulnerabilities in certain Internet Security Protocols and to design, test, and prepare a case study detailing the failures of the protocol and possible solutions to those failures. The project will last for one year.
